Description
IPX1 and IPX2 drip box tester is making test by multiple drip nozzles on the drip tank which is designed on the top of the fixture. Tank height is adjustable. The flow rate can be controlled through a flow meter and a valve. A pump is used to fill the drip tank, which cuts off automatically after the tank fills up. The unit under test is fixed on the rotating table for the uniform distribution of water on all sides.
IPX1 Dripping water test method
Dripping water (vertically falling drops) shall have no harmful effect. Test duration: 10 minutes, equivalent to 1 mm rainfall per minute.
IPX2 Dripping water when tilted up to 15° test method
Vertically dripping water shall have no harmful effect when the enclosure is tilted at an angle up to 15° from its normal position. Test duration: 10 minutes, Water equivalent to 3 mm rainfall per minute.
